Welcome!

The Sandy Creek Central School Food Service Department is committed to providing nutritious, high-quality meals that fuel student learning and support healthy lifestyles. We are proud to offer a variety of fresh, wholesome foods while meeting all USDA nutrition standards.

FREE School Meals for All Students:

Through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), all enrolled students receive one breakfast and one lunch each school day at no cost.

A complete reimbursable meal includes:
Breakfast:
Whole grain-rich grain or meat/meat alternate
Fruit
Choice of milk

Lunch:
Entrée
Vegetables
Fruit
Choice of milk

Students are encouraged to take all meal components to receive the full nutritional benefit of school meals.

Daily Meal Choices:
In addition to the daily featured entrée, students may enjoy:

Fresh Salad Bar
Fresh Made Wraps
Deli Subs
Sandwiches
Scratch-Made Soups
Fresh Seasonal Fruits
Variety of Fresh Vegetables

Every meal includes:

Fresh fruit choices
Low-fat (1%) white milk
Fat-free flavored or unflavored milk

Menus are planned according to USDA School Nutrition Standards and are subject to change without notice due to product availability.
À La Carte Items & Second Meals:

While one complete breakfast and one complete lunch are free each day, second meals and à la carte items are not included in CEP and must be purchased.

Students must have sufficient funds in their meal account or pay at the time of purchase.

Food Allergies & Meal Modifications:

Students requiring meal accommodations because of a disability may receive meal modifications.

A completed Medical Statement for Meal Modification signed by an authorized medical professional is required before accommodations can be made.

Household Income Survey:
Although meals are free for every student, families are encouraged to complete the annual Household Income Survey.
The information helps Sandy Creek Central School qualify for additional funding that supports:

Sandy Creek Central School proudly supports New York agriculture by purchasing locally grown and produced foods whenever possible.
