The Team
Simon P. - Coder/Driver/Builder
Simon is a dedicated junior in high school and the captain of team 34000S, a competition robotics team he has been a part of for five years. As the head builder, coder, driver, and designer, Simon has honed a diverse skill set that has contributed to his team's success, including five design awards, an excellence award, and a sportsmanship award. Passionate about both robotics and teamwork, Simon thrives on the excitement of competitions and enjoys meeting new people in the robotics community. As he looks toward the future, he is considering a career in either surgery or aerospace engineering, reflecting his strong interest in both technology and science.
Sophie H. - Journalist/Strategist/Designer
Sophie is a senior in high school and serves as the journalist, strategist, and designer for team 34000S. She has been involved in robotics for two years. Sophie's favorite part of robotics is drawing the pictures of game objects and the robot in the team’s journal, combining her love of art with her technical work. After graduation, she plans to pursue a degree in art education with the goal of becoming an art teacher, sharing her passion for creativity with others. Outside of robotics, Sophie enjoys band, drama club, cross country, track and field, hockey, language club, and art.
John D. - Coder/Driver/Builder/Designer
John is a senior and serves as the head builder, drive team member, coder, and designer for team 34000S. With three years of experience in robotics, he has helped his team earn both a sportsmanship award and a design award for his contributions to the team. John’s favorite part of robotics is analyzing and breaking down other teams' matches to help strategize and improve his own team's performance. After graduation, he plans to pursue a degree in engineering, eager to continue building on his passion for technology and problem-solving. Outside of robotics, John enjoys band, chorus, and soccer.

Colton B. - Coder/Driver/Journalist
Colton is an 8th-grade student and the team captain, coder, and journalist for team 34000T. This is his third year in robotics, and he has developed a passion for building robots, taking on leadership roles, and contributing to his team's success. As the team’s coder, he writes the software that powers their robots, and as a journalist, he helps document their journey. After graduating, Colton plans to pursue a career in the Air Force, combining his love for technology with his aspirations of serving his country

Micah B. - Builder/Driver
Micah is a dedicated 10th-grade student and a key member of [Co.R.E.] Robotics, where he has been involved for three years. As the Team Captain, Driver, and Builder for this year's team 34000Z, Micah aspires to become a robotics engineer after graduating high school and attending college. One of his favorite things about robotics is the opportunity to see the innovative designs that other teams come up with each year, inspiring his own work and pushing him to improve
Audrey C. - Journalist/Time Keeper
Audrey is a sophomore and serves as the timekeeper and journalist for team 34000Z. This is her first year in robotics, and she has quickly developed a love for the creativity, the people, and the positive atmosphere of the team. Audrey enjoys documenting the team's journey and helping keep track of important events during matches. After graduation, she plans to pursue her passion for writing and hopes to move to Switzerland to build a career as a writer.
Sam T. - Builder/Driver/Strategist
Sam is a 10th grader in his first year of robotics, where he plays multiple roles on Team 34000Z, including Skills driver, assistant builder, and drive team member. His favorite part of robotics is seeing the progress the team makes on their robot as they work together to improve it. Outside of robotics, he is an active member of the history club and plays baseball, balancing his interests in both sports and academics.
Ethan H. - Coder
Ethan is an 8th grader in his first year of [Co.R.E.] Robotics, where he plays a key role as the coder on team 34000Z. Passionate about programming, Ethan enjoys bringing robots to life through the code he writes. His favorite part of robotics is the challenge and creativity that coding offers. Looking ahead, Ethan plans to pursue a college degree in computer coding after graduation, aiming to deepen his knowledge and skills in the field he loves
