The Team
Skylar Clark - Builder/Journalist/Scout/Strategist/Team Captain
Skylar is the first person in the program to start in IQ before moving up to high school. Skylar is a builder and plans to learn more about coding. She also works on the team's notebook, recording anything that occurs in robotics. Skylar's time commitment is high, she normally misses 0 or 1 practices per week. Outside robotics, she like softball, reading, student council, and language club.
Hannah White - Builder/Journalist/Scout/Time Keeper/Designer
This is Hannah's second year in robotics. When she was asked what she was interested in doing this year she said "I just want to help out wherever I am needed." She is willing to help build and work on the journal. In terms of journaling, she plans to help especially with editing mistakes and taking pictures. Hannah's time availability is low; she is often at one practice a week. When Hannah is not at robotics, she enjoys reading, writing, playing sports, drawing, and various clubs.
Simon Preston - Coder/Driver/Builder/Designer
Simon was new to high school robotics last season. Simon is mostly interested in coding. He has been progressing his coding capabilities throughout robotics. Simon is learning more about building and journaling. He will be the match driver, so he will only drive during the matches. Simon's time availability is in the middle, he tends to miss 1 or 2 practices per week. While Simon is not at robotics he does cross country, drama, soccer, and plays video games.
Micah Burns - Builder/Driver/Designer
Micah was in robotics last year, but was previously on a different team. He is interested in building, last season he specialized in catapults. Micah will also be the skills driver, so he will focus on a skills routine to drive at competitions. Micah's time commitment is high, he tends to miss 0 to 1 practices per week. Outside of the lab, Micah enjoys playing soccer and track.
