[Co.R.E.] starts the 2024-2025 season strong at Bears Robotics High Stakes Qualifying Tournament
December 14th, 2024 by Chas Worden, Robotics Mentor[Co.R.E] had an excellent day competing at the Bears Robotics High Stakes event, hosted by Chittenango High School. The S team placed fourth overall in the qualification rounds, the Z team secured 10th place, and the T team finished in 26th place.
During the elimination rounds, the S team chose 5501X from Guilderland High School as their alliance partner, making them the 4th seed. The Z team was selected by 13460A from Sherburne-Earlville High School, entering as the 5th seed. The T team picked 7157B from Chittenango High School, earning the 16th seed. Unfortunately, the T team was knocked out in the first round of 16.
The S and Z teams faced off in the quarterfinals, where the S team narrowly defeated the Z team to advance to the semifinals, but they were ultimately eliminated by the number one seed.
The S team also earned the Design Award for their outstanding notebook and impressive interview skills. Great job today, [Co.R.E]!
