4. Public Comment
The Board of Education has set aside a period of time not to exceed fifteen (15) minutes/three (3) minutes maximum per person as an
opportunity for the community to address the Board regarding agenda and non-agenda items. If you are considering speaking to the
Board during the public comment section on the agenda, please ensure that you have exhausted the proper chain of command (i.e.
Teacher, Principal, Superintendent) prior to addressing the Board of Education. After having exhausted the Chain of Command and
you wish to speak during public comment section, we ask that you sign in on the clipboard at the doorway, then at this point in our
agenda, please stand, state your name and then address your concerns to the Board President, not the audience. (Be reminded that
this portion of our agenda is not a place to discuss staff or students.) NOTE: The Board President will listen to your comment, take it
under advisement but will not comment on or answer questions on your concern at this time. As per, Board of Education Policy 1230

7.5.1 RESOLVED, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, to accept the resignation of
Deborah Klotz, from her position as an Elementary Teacher, for retirement purposes,
effective June 30, 2020.

7.7 Approval of Appointments
7.7.1 RESOLVED, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, to appoint Misty Gibbs to the
position of Teacher Aide (10-month position), for a probationary period of 52 weeks, to
commence retroactive to February 27, 2020, and concluding April 29, 2021. She will be paid
$12.50 per hour, for an approximate pro-rated salary of $7,159.38.
(Position due to the retirement of Jeanette Waggoner.)

11.1 RESOLVED, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, to approve the additions to the
2019-2020 Master List of Substitutes for Instructional Staff and Support Staff, pending
fingerprint approval.
11.2 RESOLVED, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, to have the 2nd Reading and adopt
the revised Board Policy 9510 – Health Insurance Benefits for Retired Employees.
11.4 RESOLVED, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, to approve the 2020-2021 Combined
Soccer and Hockey Agreement (awaiting hockey paperwork from Pulaski).
11.5 RESOLVED, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, to adopt the 2020-2021 School
District Calendar.
