What is your favorite class to teach?
"8th Home and Career Skills"
How long have you been a teacher?
"This is my 13th year."
What school did you work at before?
"General Brown"
Where did you go to high school?
"South Jefferson"
Where did you go to college?
"I got my Bachelor's degree from Oneonta and my Master's degree from SUNY Cortland."
Did you play and sports in school?
"In high school I played soccer and volleyball."
What are some of your hobbies?
"Reading, running, and hunting."
How many marathons have you ran?
"Four full and a dozen half maybe."
What are your favorite memories from teaching?
"One time I was doing a manners lab with 7th graders and students were making meatballs. They took the meatballs out of the oven and were taking them off and a student dropped a meatball and we couldn't find it anywhere. Later in the day she comes back to me and said 'Mrs. Paquin, I found that meatball it fell into my shoe and I didn't find it until I went to P.E.'"
Why did you want to become a teacher?
"I like working with kids."
What is your favorite part of the day?
"Morning"
Who influenced you most growing up?
"Overall it would be my parents. My high school foods teacher influenced me to go into education."
If you could do anything over again, what would it be?
"I would have to say nothing because I feel like every decision I've made has led me to where I am today both professionally and personally. If I changed anything it might change the outcome of everything."
What is your favorite color?
"Pink"
What is your favorite animal?
"White Tigers"
What is your favorite state?
"I'd have to say Vermont"
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?
"Greece or Australia"
