This season's first OCAY competition on October 20th was a fantastic experience for all. Mrs. White, the high school global history teacher for 9th and 10th grade, chose several students to go to Fulton to compete in several events that displayed their talents. This year, the events were quite diverse. There was an engineering challenge where the students were required to create an abstract art piece made from items provided by students who went in the past. There was also a claymation movie challenge, and the last challenge was a dancing/acting challenge. Between these challenges, there were several quizzes of different varieties that test the knowledge of two students at a time. Sandy Creek did not place in the competition, but it was a different experience for those who didn't go in the past. The students Mrs. White chose to go on the trip were: Christopher Blount, Oren McDougal, Sullivan Worns, Joshua Balcom, Karina Hunter, Alex Sawchuck, Emily Kehoe, Lindsay Goodnough, Abby Woodrig, and Tori Jenkins.
