8/24/26 - The District is inviting the submission of Request for Proposals for snow plowing and/or removal at the Sandy Creek Central School District for the 2026-2029 Winter Seasons. Proposals will be accepted until noon on the 17th day of September, 2026 at the District Clerk's Office. Anyone with questions, or to view the area can contact Andy Ridgeway at the District Office at 315-387-3445 ext. 1510.

The Sandy Creek Varsity Cheer Team works hard at practice everyday to execute a flawless routine during competition. Many of the girls seem to be new to cheer, but the team scores very high at competitions for the Comets. In their first competition, they took third place and beat A and AA schools. In their second competition, they took first in the division and scored the highest out of every team there. Captain, Abby Widrig, says "Most people don't understand what cheerleading really consists of until they experience a competition. I'd like to see [the team] become more confident in themselves and our team as a whole." Most would say our cheer team doesn't get the recognition they deserve. Considering that they scored higher than A and AA teams with such young girls, they definitely deserve that recognition.

Captains: Dallas Blair, Lindsey Goodnough, Jessica Leppien, and Abigail Widrig. Seniors: Hannah Sawchuck and Sophie walter. Juniors:Savannah Brown, Allyssa Smith, and Madison Yerdon. Sophomores: Hannah Dasno, Courtney Gushlaw, and Rosie Walter. Eighth Grader: Alexis Miley. Seventh Grader: Madison Benedict. Coached by Mrs. VanOrnum and managed by Bailey Laundre.
