The modified cheerleaders had an outstanding season. The team is coached by Miss Whitney. The team members in 7th grade Alexia Phillips, Abbie Battles, Dakota Mackey, UnaRose McNitt, and Brianna Youmans. The 8th graders are Andrea Jennings, Brooke Rogers, Samantha Ranieri, Ashley Cornell, and Aleyna Jones.
These ladies had a very successful season. The team competed in two competitions this year, one at South Jefferson School, the other at Copenhagen, with a first place finish in both. At competitions, they perform team floor routines with challenging gymnastics and chants. They cheer at all of the modified home football games as well. Each day after school, they have an intense practice with the varsity squad. Each team member works hard everyday to fulfill their specific jobs. The modified team has big shoes to fill with the success of the varsity team, and so far, they are doing a fantastic job. These girls will continue to work hard throughout their time as Sandy Creek cheerleaders. Great season ladies and good luck in the seasons to come!
