Varsity Volleyball has a very young team this year consisting of only three juniors, five sophomores, and one freshman. The team has excelled at offense and has a stronger defense every game. Although the team struggled at the beginning of the season, captain, Allison Burrows, said, "For how many people we lost this year and how young our team is, we've had some great wins and achievements and now we're one of the best teams in the league." This past week, the girls annihilated Sandy Creek's biggest rival school, the Pulaski Blue Devils, three games to none. In the first game, the Comets were losing by seven, then rallied back and won. We quieted their crowd down after beating them 25-11 in the second game and 25-15 in the third game. With a record so far of 9-3, we expect to go to sectional finals in February.
