Aside from Mrs Elkin retiring in June, there are many things happening in Middle School now that it's May. The first week of this month started the 4th annual Chemo Care package collection for cancer patients. The middle school student council is collecting items for patients going through chemo therapy such as, lipbalm, fuzzy socks, puzzles and lemon drops to brighten their day. All packages are delivered by the middle school student council to a hospital that one of our staff members is receiving their chemo therapy.
The middle school student council is also doing a magazine and cookie dough sale for the middle school grades, as each grade receives a certain amount of money to use for field trips, pizza parties, etc.
Also in May, grade 6 will have the opportunity to learn about conservation and ecology by going through stations learning out our local environment when they attend Dunefest at Southwicks Beach.
