JV Baseball

After not having a team last year, the JV boys are practicing hard everyday to achieve the greatness that they attained several years ago. They work hard at hitting for half of practice, and then go to the field and take reps. Captains, Adam Hilton, Ethan Hollister, and Hunter James lead the team with their positive attitudes and hard work ethic. Adam Hilton says "We get on base pretty easily. I'm at the top of the lineup, then Levi Darling and Ethan Hollister load the bases. Then our number four hitter, Hunter James, cashes us in."
Hunter James starts games pitching and Ethan Hollister comes in, to close most games. Levi Darling starts behind the plate. The best glove on the team, Adam Hilton, starts at short, but goes to the outfield during big games. Adam says "Our team is mostly freshmen, but we have two eighth graders. Without them, we wouldn't have a JV team this year. Zac Paternoster, makes a big contribution to our team and plays first base when Hunter is pitching." Mr. Halsey says that they practice different scenarios everyday and the team is putting them to use well.
The whole team has been playing since Kindergarten. Some of the boys put in work all year round, in travel ball. The freshmen are working hard in hopes of bringing victories for the varsity team next season. The eighth graders, knowing that they will be leading the JV team next year, are also hard at work.
