Comet Pride is Community-wide!Intersectional feminism.

In case you've never heard the term, intersectional feminism is feminism through a larger scope. Considering race, body type, gender, and sexual orientation & many more along with good old fashioned feminism. The outcome? A large field of coverage with a comparatively small following set to defend the victims of discrimination based on any number of factors. Feminism like this is necessary. I can remember a time I watched the story of an acid burn victim from Bangledesh. A few years ago she had been walking home from her job in fashion at dusk, and a man pulled his car over where she was standing. She recognized him, it was a friend who had asked her out several times, but she was not interested. They had always remained on friendly terms. He asked her if she would like to go to his house, and when she refused, he threw acid in her face. Her face was permanently mutilated. 14 different facial reconstructions barely touched the surface. She was fired from her job, and she was scared to leave her house, fearing seeing him and what people would say about her. Because of this, and many other similar instances in cultures around the world, some say American women do not need feminism. People belittle and disintegrate feminism in the United States because it is thought that the only things we as women deal with are wage gaps, rape culture, and the occasional misogynistic remark. This could not be farther from the truth. In reality, the battle has not been won here. Though we as Americans may be farther ahead of this issue than most other countries, it's not over. We should not rest until women all over the world feel comfortable walking down the street alone. We should not rest until women are no longer told that they belong in the kitchen.
