The Sandy Creek Varsity Football squad has had quite the impressive season. The team has been led by Senior Captain Joe Benedict. Joe has put up well over 1500 yards this season, and is looking to gain another 2000+ yard season to match his junior year stats. Although Joe is definitely a standout on the field, he couldn't get it done without the rest of his team.

Coached by Mr. Mike Stevens (Head), and Assistant's; Mr. Matt Soluri, Mr. Kevin Halsey, Mr. Jared Cook, and Mr. Mark Haynes, the comets lost their playoff opener to Dolgeville. Captain Joe Benedict said,"We were firing on all cylinders, they (Dolgeville), just had an extremely good offense". Joe ran for 369 yards, and 4 Touchdowns. When asked his future college plans, he said "i've been in contact with a few different coaches, but really liked the University of Buffalo, but, we'll see".
