Hockey

April 8th, 2018 by Seth Lurcock

The Varsity boys hockey team had a good year this year. Finishing the season 3-12-2, their record included 2 more wins over their competition from last year. Ontario Bay is made up of multiple school throughout the area like APW, Mexico, Pulaski, South Jeff and of course, Sandy Creek. SC has three athletes on the hockey team, Anthony Guarasce, TJ Guarasce, and Ethan Hollister. Captain Sam Deleel from south Jeff had a lot to say about his team this season. A veterined player of nearly 16 years, Deleel said, "I'm proud of my boys, coming off from the horrific season last year only winning one game, this years three shows some improvement and I'm excited to watch the team grow and improve after I graduate."
Sandy Creek player TJ Guarasce also had some strong words for next season. "We had a lot of talent within our seniors this year, but it's nothing we won't be able to improve upon again next year. We looked to them for leadership and this years juniors will be more than ready to step into the shoes and keep our program improving." Good luck to the seniors and everyone else on the team for next year.
