Winter Prep

Winter is right around the corner and most people know how bad it can get sometimes. So, I have come up with a list of things you can do to prepare for the upcoming winter to make it as stress free as possible. Let's start outdoors. As it gets colder, everything begins to freeze up and expand, especially water spouts, sprinklers, and hoses. Its a good Idea to make sure there is no water still trapped inside these items to make sure they don't break when they freeze. Another thing you can do is clear out your gutters if you have some. This makes sure that when the snow melts, it doesn't just stay in the gutters to cause more problems in the future.
Now moving inside. In the fall, you can start getting heat sources to use when the snow hits. No one wants to go home and have it just as cold as it is outside. This also allows you to see if the devices you use for heating actually work if they need to be fixed or replaced. Last thing you want to do is set up a heater and have it not produce heat. This is now a good time to start stocking up on winter supplies. Such as hats, coats, gloves, snow blowers, etc. If you wait until the snow hits to get most of these supplies, more than likely they are going to be sold out from other people who tried to buy them. Anyway, these were just some basic prep you can do to keep you and your family nice and warm this winter. Good luck this winter and make sure to stay warm.
