Varsity Girls Basketball

The girls varsity basketball team had a good season. The girls are coached by Michelle Shirley and Jimmy Dowlern. In their recent years the girls have worked hard to be successful and were determined to have better seasons than the years before them. I spoke with Kendall Darling and asked her how the season went, any challenges the team faced and why she plays basketball. Kendall replied with The season went well but not the ending that we had hoped for. We had challenges because of covid, there were multiple game changes and cancellations because of it. Ive been playing basketball since I was in 5th grade. I play basketball because I love the sport. I was nervous to play because of my previous injury but my sister convinced me to play. It was fun playing with my sister this year but we fought a lot and both annoyed Mrs.Shirley throughout the season. I think someone else should play basketball if they want a good challenge and to stay in shape. Kendall is a senior this year and plays the positions of wing and forward. Kendall is a three sport athlete who also plays soccer and softball.
