2022 Comet Football

The Sandy Creek Varsity Football team in 2022 started the season off with 4 consecutive wins led by Senior Captain and Quarterback, Dustin Mackey. After coming back from last year's dreadful injury, Mackey came back with a purpose. However, just as the season could have gotten better it didn't go as planned. With a total of 5 major injuries during the season, the Comets were almost ready to accept defeat. The team was faced with many challenges and obstacles after the season's beginning but they kept their heads high and overcame adversity. The season ended with a great deal of spirit in their last game vs. Mt. Markham and the Comets went 5 - 2 for a winning record in regular season and 5 - 3 for the total. The players are going to have to work hard for next season in order to have a chance in surpassing this years squad and as the seniors will be moving on to bigger and somewhat better things.
