Comet Pride is Community-wide!Battle of the Books

On March 1st the eight students who participate in the high school Battle of the Books will take the stage and compete for the first place medal. Students who participate in Battle of the Books are given a list of books to read and for the competition they are asked questions based on the list of books. Students participating in the high school Battle competition include Adaiah Bauer, Morgan Ranieri, Zeke Durham, Emily Smith, Becca Miller, Emily Kehoe, Violet Graf, and Marjorie Yousey. The high school team is coached by Mrs. Gregg. Battle of the Books is not only a high school activity there are also middle school and elementary students who are given different list of books to read. The middle school team is made up of McKenzie Kwak, Catie-Ann Blodgett, Emily Ward, Abigail Lantry, Emma Halsey, Hailey McNitt, Cailey Robbins, Alexia Phillips, and Claire Dreibelbis. The middle school students are coached by Mrs. Nemier. Battle of the Books has also been integrated into the elementary with both a fifth grade team and a third and fourth grade team. The fifth grade team consists of seven students; Abby Chen, Abrielle Soluri, Elizabeth Glazier, Kierra Davis, Lily Liszweski, Maiya Hathway, and Braiden Martin. The fifth grade team is coached by Mrs. Norton. With the largest group of students the third and fourth grade have a large number of students that include; Abagail Balcom, Alex D'Entrone, Aydin Amell, Brayden Metott, Cam Hathway, Daltyn Landas, Hannah White, Jaeden Darling, John Darou, Kelsie Ridgeway, Kiley Procko, Lizzy Hobbs, Madison Darling, Mary White, Mason Ennist, Perle Covey, Piper Phillips, Rachel Doyle, and Trevor McDougal. Lastly, the third and fourth grade teams are coached by Mrs. Rudd. On March 1st all four Battle of the Books levels will be competing at 6:00 p.m.in the high school auditorium, please come out and support these battlers.
