Comet Pride is Community-wide!Video Game Club
March 9th, 2016 by Nic Potter
It is no secret that the majority of the world of teenagers enjoy video games. They become the activity that teenagers turn to when they are bored and see them as an amazing source of entertainment. However, some people don't have the opportunity to play video games at home; some lack the video games themselves, the internet to play certain games, or they might have a restriction to playing video games at home and don't get enough time to do much.
Video game club, VGC for short, is the solution to these problems. On Wednesday nights, Mr.Worden stays in room 1710 from 3:05 to 6:00 to let students who sign up play video games and talk amongst each other. Some of the games that seem to be popular are: Minecraft, Call of Duty, and Agario. This club has become quite popular and there has been an increase in the amount of people joining this year. There were so many people that they had to open up room 1706 for the students to use as well. This room comes with not just computers, but a Playstation and Xbox in the room too. This increases the amount of playable games the students can enjoy. Students aren't required to go every Wednesday, it is completely optional. They can come whenever it is convenient for them. Also, playing video games and talking could work up an appetite, so if students get hungry, they always have access to the vending machine.
So if you like video games, go down to Mr. Worden's office today and ask for a permission slip and get it signed, anyone can come!
