HS/MS Daily Announcements for Tuesday October 14th, 2025

Morning
We are officially kicking off Battle of the Books this week! Students interested in participating in the program should report to the library during their COMET period for an orientation meeting. If you are unable to attend, please see Mrs. Allen for a packet of information.
All 9-12 graders....interested in being in a talent show? Anyone in grades 9-12 may enter (1-5 people per act). Your act should be 5 min long with cash prizes awarded for the top 3 acts. Sign up outside Mrs. Halko's room.
Anyone taking the PSAT on Wednesday, please make sure your Chromebook is charged and that you bring your charger and a calculator to the exam.
High School Students in grades 10 thru 12---We are looking for more Big Buddies to mentor elementary students. This is a rewarding program that you receive community service hours for. Please see Ms. V if you are interested.
Art Club applications are available in the high school office. If you are interested in joining Art Club, please pick up a form and return it to the office by Friday, October 17th.
Drama Club and an other interested students: remember to pick up your audition music in Mrs. Hobbs room. If you want to be a part of the cast but not have an individual singing part, you may try out with a few friends. You have a few pieces to choose from. Audition packets are not ready yet but will be by the end of the week.
All chorus students please remember that this week is sectional rehearsal week. Sopranos will be working today. All other sections bring school work and your chromebook or come prepared with a book to read in class.
Auditions for the musical Anastasia will take place on October 28th and October 30. Drama club invites you to come join the fun. See Mrs. Hobbs if you have any questions.
Students going on the senior class field trip, report to the district office now to get on the bus.
Toss out the combs, say goodbye to bad hair days, and get ready to shine! October 14th is Be Bald and Be Free Day, a celebration of the sleek, the smooth, and the stylishly streamlined.
There is a Middle School Student Council Meeting in Miss Whitney's room today during Comet.
