Sandy Creek Cheer Team Takes Section III Title

Sandy Creek Varsity Competitive Cheer Team took the title of Section III Class C Champions!
The Sandy Creek Varsity Competitive Cheer Team took the title of Section III Class C Champion last weekend, for the 14th time under head coach Tanya VanOrnum. In back are: Allyssa Smith, Madison Yerdon and Rosie Walter.
“After battling snow days, cancelled practices and two missed competitions due to the weather,” said VanOrnum, “the Sandy Creek Comets were on ‘cloud 9’ (for the nine team members) to win the Sectional Championship for Class C and advance to States.”
The team advances to the SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College on March 4th to represent Section III at the New York State Championships.
