Students in third grade went on a tour of an archaeological dig where fossils and bones of dinosaurs were uncovered. They didn’t even have to leave their classroom to experience the tour, they used Google Expedition goggles for the trip, courtesy of CiTi Instructional Support Services Instructional Technology department. The trip tied with their classroom curriculum study of fossils and the students enjoyed exploring the site and following the guide and explanation their teachers provided for each site on their tour. The Google Expedition goggles use iPhones and soft foam viewers that mimic the old Viewmaster style of 3 D virtual photos but with modern technology and graphics.
