Zach Halsey scores 1000th point for Sandy Creek Comets

Zach Halsey, a senior at Sandy Creek High School was recognized before the start of the Varsity Boys' Basketball game on Feb. 3 for recently scoring his 1,000th point as a Comet player. Halsey is only the fifth player in Sandy Creek basketball history to have achieved this distinction. He was joined by his parents, Tammie and Kevin Halsey, as his coach Jim Hunt presented him with a special basketball to mark the occasion. Halsey's team defeated Sackets Harbor, 56-50 and he added 14 more points to his total.
