Sandy Creek Spring Scholar Athlete Teams Named

Pictured are representatives from the varsity softball, girls' track and field and boys' track and field teams from Sandy Creek High School who earned scholar athlete status.
At the end of each sports season the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) honors those teams that excel in the classroom. To achieve this academic honor, a percentage of the team's roster must have an average of 90% or greater.
Three teams for the Sandy Creek High School spring sports season achieved this distinction: Varsity Softball with members: Autumn Darling, Maggie King, Alina Quintana, Adrian Ranieri, Lindsey Redden, Sara Castor, Jessica Williams, Kasey Yerdon, Carley Stoker, Allison Burrows, and Kate Hanni; Varsity Girls' Track with members: Katie Austin, Marissa LaCelle, Skylyn Salzman, Liberty Yalch, Rachel Yerden, Madeline Yousey, Abby Irwin, Brigid McClusky, Rosie Morgan, Machela Sullivan, Abbey Fitzpatrick, and Kyrsten Hall; and Field and Varsity Boys' Track and Field with members: John Dana, Luke Elliott, Jake Bennett, Jay Ivison, Tyler Brown, Dylan Bryant, James Potts, Alex VanRy, Chase Pappa, Seth Lurcock, and Joe Metott.
The students serve as outstanding academic ambassadors representing the Sandy Creek Central School District on the field and in the classroom.
