The Sandy Creek Middle School held a Career Day where students could speak with local individuals about potential careers and pathways in education as the students begin to think about planning for high school and beyond. Students in grades six to eight spent time with more than a dozen individuals to learn more about the opportunities their career has provided them and to speak with them in detail about what educational path they took to arrive in their field. Several branches of the military, the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department and the New York State Police, massage therapy, healthcare and nursing, physical fitness instructors, auto repair, welding and the Fulton Companies representatives provided a wide range of career exploration for students visiting the career fair.
