| Another nerve wracking game for the Modified Girls Soccer team! Down 0-1 in the first quarter, the Comets fought hard but the second quarter remained the same. Half time brought some great reflection in the team meeting and the Comets went out more aggressively in the third quarter to tie it up 1-1. A quick goal in the fourth by the other team had these amazing athletes down, but not defeated. They tied it up with a few minutes to go and headed into overtime! A grueling overtime left both teams scoreless pushing this fantastic team into a second overtime. It was pure determination and team camaraderie that blasted the Comets to score with 7 seconds to go and the Sandy Creek TEAM VICTORY for the evening. Extraordinary game ladies! I'm so proud of the continued growth in each of you every game! |
