The Sandy Creek Transportation Department presented a bus safety puppet show to teach and reinforce bus safety on and around the bus to students in grades Kindergarten to five.

The presentation utilized creative fun songs that got the students clapping and enjoying the music, but with lyrics that delivered important safety messages. The puppet theater itself, was a yellow school bus stage, complete with working door, stop sign arm and yellow and red flashing lights.

The songs utilized in the program were written and performed by a Sandy Creek alum, Michael Cambareri, Jr., who graduated in 2009. Bus drivers operated the puppets inside the stage and were introduced following the show.

Following the puppet show presentation, Transportation Supervisor Robin Cashel quizzed the students on the safety messages contained in the show to further reinforce the message.
