5/6/25 Update from the Superintendent

Dear Sandy Creek CSD Community,

I want to sincerely thank the concerned members of our school district who have reached out regarding recent alleged threats posted on social media. I appreciate your vigilance and partnership in helping us maintain a safe and supportive school environment.

While I am limited in what I can share because we are unable to provide information about student discipline issues with the public as that information is protected, we would like to provide you with as much of an update as possible.

As soon as we were made aware on Friday, we began an investigation. On Saturday, additional concerns and posts were shared with me by members of our community. Some of this content was new to us, and I am grateful to those who came forward as it is deemed even more serious than what we were initially presented.

We value your trust and the safety of our students and staff while they are present on our campus and it is of paramount concern to fully investigate and resolve this matter. We will cooperate with law enforcement to the extent necessary to ensure a full, fair, and complete investigation of the allegations.

It is our responsibility to provide a respectful environment where all students are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve and to ensure that violations of law, policy and code of conduct are adequately addressed in an effort to ensure that issues of this nature are dealt with swiftly and in accordance with the law and our obligations to our students, staff and the community we serve.

If your child is feeling uneasy or has concerns, please dont hesitate to reach out to the main office. We are here to listen, to respond, and to ensure every student feels secure and supported.
