Sandy Creek Varsity Softball Section III Class C Champions

The Sandy Creek varsity softball team celebrates following their Section III Class C Championship win.
The Sandy Creek Varsity Softball team became Section III Class C Champions following their 9-0 victory over Tully on May 30 at OCC.
Team members include Carley Stoker, Jasmyn Williams, Lainey Hathway, Hannah Dasno, Savannah Brown, Marley Yerdon, Olivia Pappa, Sarah Balcom, Madisn Yerdon Allison Lantry, Bella Cornell, Lexi McNitt and Riley Dowlearn with Head Coach Katie Soluri.
The team earned a bye in the first round of the Section III championship tournament and went on to defeat Sauquoit Valley 13-1; Port Byron 15-0; and Little Falls 1-0 before facing Tully in the finals.
The Sandy Creek team will now advance to the New York State Regional competition this Friday, June 2 at Union Endicott High School vs. Elmira Notre Dame. The game starts at 5:00 p.m.
