Orwell Community Outreach, SCSD to host training and Q&A regarding

On Sept. 11 the Orwell Community Outreach Committee, in cooperation with the Sandy Creek Central School District, will be hosting a question-and-answer session regarding recent overdose deaths in the area.

This is a free event that will provide training and information regarding opioids, heroin, synthetic drugs, prevention, treatment options and education on hope for recovery. The VOW Foundation; District Attorneys Office; County of Oswego Council on Alcoholism and Addictions; Farnham Family Services; ConnextCare; the Oswego County Division of Mental Hygiene and the Oswego County Sheriffs Department will be on hand to discuss their services and offer insight.

The session will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the Orwell Fire Department, 2000 Co. Rt. 2. It will begin with a brief welcome and introduction, followed by Narcan Training at 6:15 p.m. At 6:45 p.m. there will be a Q&A panel open.
