Sandy Creek Senior Receives Distinguished Local Award

Sandy Creek senior Hannah White accepts her 2023 Best and Brightest Award.

Hannah White, a senior at Sandy Creek High School, joined an exclusive group of students from Central New York as a Syracuse.com 2023 Best and Brightest Award recipient.

All of the applicants for Syracuse.com's 2023 Best and Brightest award had admirable academic credentials that placed them at or near the top of their senior classes.
The winners of the contest, which was sponsored by Upstate Honda Dealers, were selected based on their activities, interests and accomplishments outside of their high school classrooms.
"Hannah is the valedictorian of her class and has outstanding character and work ethic," said her counselor, Tanya VanOrnum. After graduation she plans to study archeology technology and historical structures at the University of Rochester.

"I am so honored to have been selected to receive such a prestigious award," said White.
