About The Counselors
Tanya VanOrnum will be returning for her 25th year with our district focusing on all of our High School students. She is a NYS certified School Counselor who is also nationally certified as well as holds her NYS Mental Health Counseling License. Tanya will provide student support in the following areas: Career and College Readiness, Military Exploration, Academic Counseling, Individual, Group, and Crisis Counseling. Ongoing activities will be directed toward maintaining and monitoring student records, coordinating services for students, providing feedback to students and parents, providing exposure and information about community and career options to support the academic and personal development of the whole child.
Karli Gregoire will be beginning her first year with our district focusing on all of our Middle School students 6-8th grade. She is a recent graduate from SUNY Oswego with her Masters Degree in School Counseling and is a NYS Certified School Counselor. Karli will provide support to students during their time of big transitions and challenges in every way, as she is committed to supporting the 'whole child'. Other activities will include student scheduling, monitoring and maintaining student records, building students skills and providing a safe space for students to come and talk. Her goal is to ensure that each student feels seen, heard and supported in their own unique way.
